RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE

BEAVER COUNTY MODEL AIRPLANE CLUB, INC.

NOTE: ALL FLIERS MUST HAVE A CURRENT A.M.A.

  1. THERE SHALL BE NO FLYING: {APPLIES TO INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES ONLY}
    1. BEFORE 10:00 A.M. ON ANY WEEKDAY OR SATURDAY.
    2. BEFORE 11:00 A.M. ON SUNDAY.
    3. ON PALM SUNDAY, GOOD FRIDAY, EASTER, AND CHRISTMAS DAY.
  2. ALL VEHICLES ARE TO BE PARKED IN THE UPPER PARKING LOT.
  3. PARKING IS PERMITTED IN FRONT OF THE PIT AREA FOR UNLOADING AND LOADING ONLY.
  4. BEFORE REVVING-UP YOUR ENGINE, BE SURE YOUR PLANE IS POINTED AWAY FROM THE OTHER FLIERS, PLANES AND EQUIPMENT.
  5. DON’T REV YOUR ENGINE WHEN SOMEONE IS ATTEMPTING TO LAND.
  6. ENGINES ARE NOT TO BE BROKEN IN IN THE PIT AREA.
  7. THE LAST PERSON LEAVING THE FIELD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CLOSING AND LOCKING THE GATE.
  8. REMOVE YOUR AMA CARD FROM THE FREQUENCY BOARD IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH FLIGHT SO THAT OTHERS USING THAT FREQUENCY CAN FLY.
  9. ALL FLYERS USING A 2.4GHz RADIO MUST CLIP THEIR CURRENT AMA CARD TO THE TOP ROW OF THE FREQUENCY BOARD.

 

SAFETY

  1. ALL TRANSMITTERS ARE TO BE PLACED ON THE IMPOUND RACK WHEN NOT IN USE.
  2. BEFORE TURNING ON YOUR TRANSMITTER, YOUR CURRENT A.M.A. CARD IS TO BE CLIPPED TO THE PROPER FREQUENCY ON THE FREQUENCY BOARD. 2.4 USERS SHOULD CLIP CARD ON TOP ROW.
  3. THERE WILL BE NO TAKING OFF FROM THE PIT AREA.
  4. THE RED WARNING FLAG IS TO BE DISPLAYED WHEN AN UNTESTED PLANE OR A NEW PILOT IS ABOUT TO FLY.
  5. NO PLANES ARE TO TAKE OFF WHEN THE WARNING FLAG IS OUT.
  6. NO LOW FLYING OVER THE PIT AREA, CLUB HOUSE, OR PARKING AREA. (100 FT. MINIMUM)
  7. DO NOT STAND ON THE FLYING FIELD.  PLEASE REMAIN BEHIND THE SAFETY FENCE.
  8. FLIERS AND HELPERS ARE THE ONLY ONES PERMITTED IN THE PIT AREA.
  9. ALERT THE OTHER FLIERS IF YOU NEED TO GO ONTO THE FLYING FIELD.  ONLY FLIERS ARE PERMITTED ON THE FLYING FIELD.
  10. GLIDERS AND “DEAD STICK” AIRCRAFT HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY WHEN LANDING.
  11. NO SMOKING IN THE PIT AREA.
  12. IT IS SUGGESTED THAT ANY FLIER USING REGULAR GASOLINE, SHOULD HAVE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER ON HAND.
  13. NO GLASS CONTAINERS ARE PERMITTED IN THE PIT AREA OR ON THE FLYING FIELD.
  14. NO TRASH IS TO BE LEFT AT THE FIELD.  MEMBERS ARE REQUESTED TO TAKE THEIR TRASH WITH THEM, TO BE DISPOSED OF AT HOME.
  15. DO NOT USE THE BURN BARREL FOR DISPOSAL OF BOTTLES (GLASS OR PLASTIC), CANS, OR FUEL CONTAINERS.
  16. PILOTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO TAXI OUT OF OR INTO THE PIT.  PLANES MUST BE UNDER MANUAL CONTROL IN THE PIT AREA.
  17. ALERT THE OTHER FLIERS WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO LAND.
  18. A DISABLED AIRCRAFT OR GLIDER SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE FLYING FIELD A.S.A.P.
  19. YOU SHOULD RANGE CHECK YOUR RADIO BEFORE THE 1ST FLIGHT, AND PERIODICALLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
  20. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED IN THE PIT OR ON THE FLIGHT LINE.
